Why do fans get overheating?
Before figuring out solutions from overheating fans, you should first know the cause of the problem. This is how the fan works. Electrical energy creates magnetic energy. This magnetic energy is converted into mechanical energy that drives the motor. The motor is attached to a set of blades which are mounted at a certain angle to direct wind energy. So we change one form of energy into another form. And the energy that arises as a whole cannot be created or destroyed. When a fan uses this simple principle, some energy is converted to heat energy. Under ideal conditions, this energy can be ignored. However, if there are parts inside the fan that are not functioning properly, the fan will produce more hot air. One classic example is a broken bearing, while the bearing itself serves to connect the blade to the fan motor. This can make the fan blade move slower which reduces the electromotive force produced by the motor. This extra energy must go somewhere because it cannot be destroyed. Excess energy is converted to heat, and this is what makes the fan overheating. This is the most common reason for the fan to heat up quickly. However, there may be other reasons that need to be analyzed before making improvements.

Fan bushings are worn
Could be another cause is the fan bushings that have worn out. Check by looking using the eyes, or insert the motor shaft into the bushing, and shake to the right and left. If it is loose, it means the bearing / bushing has worn out. If the fan causes heat due to worn bushings, remove the bearings / bushings, and replace with a new one. Then put the bearings / bushings back on the motor dynamo.
Shorted on the motor windings
If some of the motor windings on the fan are shorted, the motor will start to draw more current. In fact, each fan motor is equipped with a thermal fuse to prevent this from happening. If the fan draws too much current, it will burn as most other fuses tend to burn. Another function offered is to avoid the formation of heat energy in the fan.
